We come to it with humility and curiosity, but what I love about this phrase is that it has meaning to almost everyone we’ve talked to, and yet, there is little consensus on what it actually means. Jan, aka “the ILN’s biggest cheerleader,” retired from Kaiser Permanente in 2017, where she was both an innovation and telehealth leader. She now co-leads an online healthcare innovation group called “Weavr”, writes a newsletter for the Prime Health innovation group, and remains involved in the American Telemedicine Association. She volunteers holding NICU babies, travels, and spending time with friends. And she is happy to assist in your innovation efforts. And yes, Jan will be at the Design for Dignity gathering. So you can say hi to her there or on LinkedIn. Sparks: (Sometimes) Cool Stuff Robo-Walkers: We’ve all seen them in sci-fi flicks. Remember Sigourney Weaver tackling an alien in her robot walker? Well, those who are paralyzed or have walking challenges can put on a streamlined version and…walk. Wow!
Thought Dead for 2 Million Years: And another wow. A patch of trees that were thought extinct since the age of the dinosaurs was discovered thriving. The location is top secret, but I am imagining something like Jurassic Park.
